A fantastic antique book on the Civil Costume in England. It is a first edition and is dated 1884. The contents page states that there are 21 coloured illustrated plates, three are missingand are loose. The costumes date from William 1st to the Regency period.
The front cloth cover has a wonderful gilt embossed design and great colour. This is a lovely timeworn book which would be perfect as a gift for a special person interested in fashion and costume design.
Condition
Many of the pages are loose but it does mean that the colour plates can be easily framed. Scuffed corners to front boards and generally in very worn condition. Several of the colour plates are missing.
Shows lots of signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
