Here for sale is a fantastic framed colour plate of the General direction of the Barbarian Inroads on the fall of the Roman empire in Europe. Taken from the Cosmographic Atlas dated 1891 and published by W. & A K Johnston. The frame is old oak and has a wonderful patina which matches the colour tinting of the map perfectly.  Stunning muted colours to plate, part of a set we are putting together.  A fabulous decorative piece perfect for adding character and soul to a modern interior.
Condition
There is some of the gilt mount missing to the inner edge of the frame, please refer to photo. This map has been professionally framed using a new mount. Shows some signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
