A fantastic antique serving set. Made from silver plate and fully hallmarked by the maker, Lee & Wigful. The renowned silversmiths were based at the John Street Works, Sheffield. Consisting of a large spoon and palette knife for serving. Used in country manor houses when entertaining, very Downton Abbey! The knife has a wonderful engraved design, typical of the Victorian period. It comes comple with its presentation box which is silk and velvet lined. A fabulous period set, perfect to use with any entaining table or perfect as a gift.
Condition
Tarnishing to silver plate in places. Hinge a bit fragile. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
