A fantastic antique guitar. Marked by the maker, 'Menzenhauer's Guitar Zither' and made in Germany. Friederich Menzenhauer patented the guitar zither in 1894. The base is ebonsied with the most wonderful gold gilt painted detail. The guitar zither is closely related to the Autoharp. It comes with its original metal carry case. It has a fabulous sound and would look amazing mounted on a wall. Perfect to add soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
Areas of tarnishing. Strings missing. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
