A fantastic set of four antique books. Titled 'The National Burns' and is written by Rev. George Grifillan. The cover and spines have a stunning embossed colour and gilt design to the cloth. The page edges are gilded. This fabulous set were published by William Mackenzie, 69 Ludgate Hill, London , Edinburgh And Glasgow. They are illustrated with a collection of stunning engravings and lithographs with hundreds of illustrations within the text. This was a Deluxe Centenary Edition which was produced to commemorate the death of Robert Burns in 1796. Perfect for any collector or to ready and enjoy.
Condition
Some scuffing to corners. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
