A fantastic antique framed print. It is a gelatin silver print of an original relief plaster. The print is embossed with the original artist P. Pander and dated 1904. Pier Pander was born in Holland and the son of a poor boatman. As a young boy he had a talent for woodcarving. Wealthy patrons enabled him to study at art school in Amsterdam and later at the 'Academie des Beaux Arts' in Paris. In 1885 Pander won the Dutch Prix de Rome for sculpture. Framed in a classic oak frame. A lovely period piece, perfect to add soul and character to any modern interior.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
