A super antique knife shapener or grinder. With makers plaque for 'The Luther Line' Model No 16. It is dated October 17th 1911, which was possible when the patent was granted. Made in Milwaukee, United Stated.With a fabulous timeworn green painted mounted on cast iron. It is untested but the hand cranked mechanism to turn the grinding wheel is fully working. The wooden crank handle is just lovely. The clamp can be used to attach the sharpener to any table to bench. Use as a bookend on a kitchen shelf! Perfect to add soul and charcter to any modern space.
Condition
Untested as a knife sharpener. signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
