A fantastic antique box. Handcarved with a wonderful scroll and flower detail and shield to top. Made from Indian rosewood and is a lovely weight. Dating from the first part of the 20th Century, around 1920. Original used as a cigar/cigarette case but it would make a fabulous pen/pencil box. It has original brass hinges. And seems to be carved from one piece of wood and has been made by a master craftsmen. A fabulous period piece, perfect for any collector or to use and enjoy.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
