A fantastic antique advertising tin. With original paper label for 'Huntley & Palmers, Family Assorted Biscuits'. The company was founded by Joseph Huntley in 1822 and became a world wide brand when George Palmer joined in 1841. Originally based in Reading, England. This large example was used in a grocery shop for display and use. Its an early and rare example dating from the 1920's to 1930's. The label is still vibrant and is a little timeworn, which only adds to its charm. These large tins are great for display and to use in modern kitchens, pantries or laundery rooms. Adding soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
Much of the original label is still intact. Tarnishing to metal tin. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
