A fantastic antique original Anglepoise lamp. Invented by George Carwardine in 1932 who patented the four spring design and licenced it to world class spring maker Herbert Terry. The Anglepoise name was registered and later went into mass production. This is a rare early example. It is heavy and large task lamp and has been fully rewired with braised flex. The lamp is fully adjustable and rotates on the heavy weighed base. The metal seems to have been repainted in cream in its history. A fabulous rare example in as found condition. Perfect for any collector or to use and enjoy.
Condition
Tarnishing to metal where paint has chipped. Paint drips to surface. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
