A fantastic antique surveyor's tripod stand converted to a stunning standard lamp. The tripod legs are made from mahogany and has a lovely painted metal collar to the top. This stand would have been used to mount a theodolite for surveyor's to measure horizontal and vertical angles. It has been coverted to a floor standing light with gold flex and standard switched bayonet light fitting.

This is a fabulous statement floor lamp and a real talking point. The metal has a lovely timeworn patina and the mahogany a muted weathered colour. There is still the original leather strap mounted to one leg to keep the tripod closed when transporting. A salvaged piece perfect to incorporate into a modern home to add soul and character to a modern interior.

Condition

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

Dimensions

The legs can be adjusted to be wide or narrow which affects the height.

open for example 164 cm height from floor to top of light fitting

closed 169 cm total height
