A fantastic antique set of shelves. Made from scorched or burnt bamboo and dates from the Aesthetic Movement period, late 19th Century. To each shelf is a exquisite handpainted scene of birds with decorative foliage. There are four shelves which are at different heights, so perfect for display. There is a lovely ornate upstand to. The shelves are light weight so can be use in difficult to reach places. A fabulous unique piece, perfect to use in a bathroom to store towels and lotions or as a plant stand. Or incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a place. 
Condition
Areas of wear to handpainted scene, especially to the top, please do refer to photos. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
