A fantastic antique copper tea urn and cooking pan. Stamped to the base for Army and Navy Co-operative Society. Army and Navy was set up in 1871 by a group of officers to buy and sell wholesale. It became a large department store that supplied British Military Officers. With brass tap to the base and riveted handles to the sides of both pieces. The cooking pan fits on top of the urn to form a lid. Used on campaigns in the field. Tin lined and has been used! We have tried the tap and is still in full working order. We have only given the copper a light clean. The old copper has a wonderful warm hue and timeworn patina. A fabulous rare period set, perfect for any collector or to use and enjoy.
Condition
Tarnishing to base of urn as it has been used on an open fire. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
