A fabulous antique pair of copper trays. One has the Neptune hallmark for Joseph Sankey and Sons. Sankey was based in Bilston, Wolverhampton, part of the black country, near Birmingham. Sankey started the firm in 1890, his sons joined him in 1891. We believe the tray to date from the early part of the 19th century. The trays have a wonderful warm hue and patina to the copper. The hand beaten bark design to the piecrust edge is just wonderful. These are large examples and would look stunning styled on a table with candles, books and keepsakes. A perfect gift or would make a wonderful addition to any modern interior to use and enjoy.

Condition

Historical tarnishing to surface in places. We have only given them a light clean. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

Dimensions

51.5 cm width,  41 cm depth, 3.5 cm height
