A fantastic antique lantern. Made from brass and with opaque glass panels. There is a small hinged door where once it was used as a candle lantern. We have added a hanging chain and braided flex with standard bayonet fitting. It can now be used as a hanging light pendent. The antique brass has a wonderful muted colour and hue. The cap to the top has holes for when it was previously used with a candle. The lantern is constructed with rivets which add to its charm. Dating from the turn of the Century and very much in the Arts and Crafts manor. A stunning period piece, perfect to incorporate into a modern home to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
The original hole to the top is off centre and effects the handing of the light slightly. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
