A rare antique letterpress printers tray. With original cast iron handles with the makers name D&C Ltd. Day and Collins Ltd were registered in 1884 and an 1897 catalogue describes their products as Wood Type, Printing and Bookbinding Material. They were Dissolved in 1916.
This cabinet is made from stained pine and has panelled sides. With five  letterpress trays which would of held wooden and metal type. We have cleaned each tray but there is still signs of ink. It has the remains of its old varnish and wonderful vintage industrial look. One drawer has original brass spaces. 
This stunning rare cabinet is perfect for any collector to store and display collections. A fabulous salvaged piece which has been used for many years in a factory and now can be incorporated into a modern space. Adding soul and character.
Condition
This is a salvaged piece and has been used for many years in a factory environment. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
