A lovely antique frame. Made from gilt painted gesso plaster on a wooden frame. It has a wonderful patina to the gold gilt finish and a timeworn shabby look. This lovely old frame has been has an adventure and has areas of missing gesso, which really adds to its charm. The frame has a classical ribbed detail. Perfect for a feature gallery wall to stage or to add soul and character to a modern home.
Condition
Areas of missing gesso where the white plaster is showing. Inner gilt wooden mount/ beading to picture missing in places. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
