A fantastic antique filing cabinet. With brass escutcheon plate to the front for maker 'H.L.L' for Harry Lebus. The company was founded in the 1840s and based in London. Dating from the first part of the 20th century this filiing cabinet is fabulous. Made from English oak. It has a tambour front to reveal two flights of drawers, please note there are two drawers missing towards the top. Each drawer takes a standard A4. A perfect addition to any home office for filing and organisation. Or it could be used in any room of the house for storage. Adding soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
There are two drawers missing, which are at the top of the cabinet. Some of the drawer handles have been replaced. Modern screws to carcus for strenght. Tambour is stiff and old and needs to be treated with care. No key. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
