A fantastic antique medical device by Watson & Sons Electro Medical Ltd of London. The company of William Watson was founded in 1837 for the manufacture of optical instruments. The company grew and expanded in to other areas such as electro therapeutics.
This instruments dates from around 1910 and delivered electric current that could be applied to different parts of the body and was believed at the time to help with various disorders. It is in a beautiful mahogany box and is a fantastic fascinating example of these instruments. It has an attractive brass handle and ivorine makers label on the top. Perfect for any collector.
Condition
The drawer knob appears to be a replacement. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
