A fantastic antique bank of drawers. Made from Mahogany, this set of drawers were once in a museum to storage and catagorise butterfly and moths. Dating from the Victorian period, each drawer is lined with cork for mounting speciums. More recently it has been used in an artist studio and shows signs of paint and use. There are two banks of 15 shallow drawers which assend in depth to the bottom. A really useful and rare piece. Perfect to incoporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.

Condition

One drawer is missing its side, one knob missing. Some replacement knobs. At some point in it's life it would have had glass to the top of each drawer, now missing. Some of the drawers can be stiff to open and close, some of the runner may need adjusting. Missing trim to left hand side to top. Shows lots of signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
