Here for sale is a fantastic antique sewing machine. The makers mark and name has unfortunately worn away with time. The Japanned metal body has signs of its gilt toleware design. The centre has a lovely original picture of a house surrounded by trees. The raised feet indicates it is early and in the New England style. Made from cast iron and is heavy.  It is working but we haven't tried to tread it or sew with fabric.  A stunning early example perfect for any collector or to stage in a modern home to add soul and character to a space.   
Condition
Is very worn in places and metal is tarnished. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
