A fantastic antique ships cabin washstand vanity. With drop down door revealing a stunning sink unit. The sink has engravings for "Orfevrerie T. Rocher Paris". The sink and taps are plated, presumably silver on copper. The fabulous ornate taps are marked with Chaud/ hot and Froid/ cold.
With beautiful inlay decoration to the front of the drop down wooden door and heavy brass latch. The base of the unit has a door to reveal further inlaid decoration which hides the plumbing behind. The sink is built to be plumbed in with hot and cold inlet and waste outlet. But untested as a working piece.
This is a salvaged piece that has losses and some damage. It would make a great decorative item or could be incorporated into a unique bathroom. Adding soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
Untested and very much a salvaged piece. Lots of signs of it history and use. Losses and lots of marks including missing decorative piece to the lower section, blown wood on the reverse (not visible). Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
