A fantastic antique typewriter. This rare black Japanned metal typewriter is the model Bijou number 5 and made by Seidel & Naumann in Dresden, Germany. It dates from 1936 and has the serial number 596269/5. It has four banks of white keys mounted on chrome metal. With the retailer name and label for Duncan & Co, Hope Street, Glasgow. In great condition for it's age and comes with its original cleaning brushes (mounted to the inside lid) and carry case. It is working although the keys are a bit sticky. It as stunning piece of engineering and dates from the just before the Second World War. Perfect for any collector or to use and enjoy.
Condition
Fully working with a recent new ribbon, keys are a bit sticky due to lack of use. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
