A fantastic antique mahogany ships basin. This unique and rare piece started life on a steamer or cruise ship in the 1870s. The washstand has a pull down cupboard where the basin sits. The hinges are all brass and there is no makers name. To the top behind the original mirror is a water chamber. This fabulous piece could possibly in in use on famous streamer ships such as the Cunard. It was the height of luxury for the upper classes to travel. It has its original soap dishes to either side of the hand basin and is a unique space saving piece. To the top is a gallery shelf to hold bottles. A truly rare find perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to use and enjoy. Adding soul and character to any modern space.

Condition

Its a heavy, quality piece. Historic repair to left hand soap dish. The small cupboards to the bottom have no backs to them. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
