A fantastic antique early 19th century campaign correspondence box. Presented as a small bank of drawers, the lower part slides out to reveal a writing slope. Of fine quality with Kingwood veneer, bone drawer knobs and flush brass campaign handles. Circa 1820. This wonderful piece is in need of restoration so please see the condition report below. A stunning fine piece with a wonderful timeworn patina. It has has been on many adventures and it shows. Perfect for any collector, or to restore and enjoy.
Condition
Missing knobs to the top drawers. The writing slope top is split. Base to writing slope drawer is missing. Some losses of trim to top. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
