A fantastic antique ships gimbal light. Marked by the maker, Perry of Birmingham. Richard Perry & Sons were based in Wolverhamton, England. Perry made much of the lighting for the White Star Lines steamer ships. A renowned maker who worked with Christopher Dresser on serveral pieces. A gimbal light was designed to be wall mounted and to stay upright as the ship travelled on its journey. We love the simpe classic design and heavy brass, of this piece. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
