A fantastic framed book plate print.  Published by Blackie & Sons Ltd, who were based in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow. This is part of a series we have by renowned engravers M. Sellier and C. E Keates. This antique plate is perfect for a collector of Ichthyology or  fishing. We have had the print professionally mounted in an old gesso gilt frames with original old glass and gold gilt mount. A wonderful framed Victorian book plates which would add character and soul to any modern interior.
Condition
Some losses to gesso gilt frame. There is historical foxing to glass and some debris within the frame. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
