A fantastic antique set of five meat or serving platters. This set is the Amherst Japan design and date from the Victorian period. These heavy transferware pieces were really popular and used on special occasions.
As you can see they are rather distressed and have been through the wars. Much loved they have been stapled and mended over there lifetime. There are chips to the edges and wear in places but adds to there timeworn charm. Each has a an adhesive hanging hook. A wonderful collection which has been put together overtime to form a display of five plates. We love them! Perfect to display on a gallery wall to add soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
Staples and signs of extensive repair. Chips to edges. This is a set of distressed itornstone platters and have been much loved. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
