A fantastic antique chair. Dating from the Victorian period, but very much has an Art Deco design to the back rest. In its original red damask velvet upholstery. The two porcelain casters are stamped 'C&C'. Cope and Collinson were renowned for making high quality castors for top end cabinet and furniture makers during the 19th Century. This chair was used as a nursing chair as it is low but has a wonderful design with mahogany legs. The fabric is tired and worn in place but we think itreally adds to its charm. A fabulous period chair, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Worn areas to fabric and espcially to covered buttons. Historical repair to fabric. Springs are sound. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
