A fantastic antique serving dish and lid. Made from silver plate which is mounted on copper. To the base it is stamped with two crowns. The crown mark was used by many electroplaters in Sheffield during the 19th Century. This stunning octagon shaped dish and lid dates from the end of the Victorian period. The handle to the lid can be removed for storage. The ornate metalwork has a wonderful rope design. A fabulous period piece, perfect to grace any celebration table and bring out a bit of Downton Abbey.
Condition
Surface tarnishing in places. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
