A great original vintage chemist bottle. The retailer is Stotherts Ltd, Atherton. R.Stothert's & sons Ltd (later Stothert's Ltd) was originally a company of chemists founded by Richard Stothert (1830-1912) in Atherton, Greater Manchester. They were renowned for its range of medicines and beverages. The company was managed by Maxwell Harwood Stothert in the 1940s. In the late 1960s after 120 years of business the company was absorbed into A.G. Barrs of Glasgow. This fabulous original bottle contains Glycerine, please do not use! It has it original label to front and back and has a great patina. This great shop display bottle is perfect to style on a bathroom or kitchen shelf to add soul and personality to an modern interior.
Condition
Corks are stuck in top and the labels have staining. Some marks and scratches as it is old and has been used, buy only adds to its character.
