A lovely vintage mincer. Made from cast iron and stamped with the makers name, Spong. James Osborn Spong founded the business in 1856. Based in London, the company manufactured iconic household items such this mincing machine. Dating from the first part of the 20th Century. Spong was an inventer and raised over 100 patents over his lifetime. This exmaple still has its terned wooden pusher. It's steel grater is missing inside. It is a super decorative piece to use in a kitchen or on a shelf for display. They make fantastic book ends. Adding soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
Inside grater is missing. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
