A fantastic antique haberdashery cabinet with 24 drawers. Until recently in use by EC Pitchers Ltd to store engineering parts, but before that from a Victorian Haberdashery Shop
EC Pitchers was originally an engineering company creating mill furnishings in the West Midlands. This stunning cabinet has sat in their workshop for over 100 years but clearly that was not the start of it journey. Each drawer is numbered and labelled with haberdashery contents so before its use by Pitchers, it was in use in a haberdashery shop. We believe it dates from the middle of the 19th Century.
It is a stunning piece of furniture with mahogany cabinet and drawer fronts. The drawers fronts are painted with numbers and content labels and have a wonderful timeworn patina. A couple of the drawers have their original dividers. A beautiful piece that is full of history. A rare and stunning period piece, perfect to incorporate into any modern space to add soul and character to an interior.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. One of the dividers between 2 drawers is missing so one drawer sits on top of the other. There is a missing piece to the back of the top. Missing detail to the sides where it has been removed to fit a space. One drawer sticks. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

All items are packed using recycled cardboard and bubble wrap. Items are sent tracked, insured, and signed for.
