A fantastic large vintage library table by B Serota Ltd. Barnett Serota came to London from Zhitomir, Russia, in 1905 and was employed as a furniture maker by Morris Cohen. After a partnership with Cohen, he set up his own firm By the 1950s the firm was known for their high quality work and they specialised in pieces for university institutions (including the library for the University of London’s Institute of Education) and British embassies abroad.
Made from a solid piece of mahogany wood with a frame added. A fabulous reading or library table. Perfect to incorporate into a modern home or business interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Surface scratches and marks, as it is old. Shows lots of signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
